THE BANKFIELD SCHOOL

CONDUCT and PROCEDURES for Community users of the School's training facilities

INDOOR FACILITIES - Gymnasium and Sports Hall

(1) Booking Conduct

And

(2) Fire/Evacuation Procedure

1. Booking Conduct

The following rules are for the benefit and safety of all users of these facilities and must be strictly adhered to. Any group not following the rules may have their booking cancelled with immediate effect.

All groups are to take a register of all individuals attending. In the event of an emergency or incident, the emergency services would need to know the exact number of people attending each session.

It is the responsibility of each group to ensure that all individuals arrive at, and leave their sessions safely.

Access to any other part of the school site/buildings other than those being utilised by your group is strictly forbidden.

No drinking or eating is permitted inside the Gymnasium or Sports Hall. This measure is to prevent group members injuring themselves on any spillages.

The Bankfield School operates a no smoking facility policy across its campus site.

No alcohol is to be consumed on the premises at any time.

2. Fire Evacuation Procedure

The Fire Evacuation Signal is a continuous sounding of the school siren.

On hearing the alarm, all users must exit the building through the nearest fire exit and assemble in designated areas away from the building.

This is to the school yard at the rear of the school.

Emergency fire exit doors are fitted with automatic magnetic locks which release as soon as the fire alarm sounds.
In the event of an emergency (fire exit doors cannot be opened manually), press the green box next to the emergency fire doors, and the magnetic lock will release, allowing the doors can be opened.

THE DOORS MUST ONLY BE OPENED THIS WAY IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.

A register of attendees must be kept by each individual group.

Session Group Leaders are responsible for checking this register when the group is assembled in the designated area.

The name of anyone missing must be given to the emergency services on arrival.

In the interest of safety, all doors, entrances and corridors must be kept clear and ready for use in the event of any emergency.

It is the responsibility of the group, and Session Group Leader in charge, to inform all participants, parents, guests, etc, as to the locality of the emergency fire exits and evacuation procedures to adopt.

Emphasis must be made towards stressing the importance of orderly and sensible behaviour in case of fire or other emergency.

Permission to resume activities will be given by either the:

Bankfield School Sports Community Manager
or
Site Manager
or
Emergency Services.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES - All Terrain Pitch (ATP)

(1) Booking Conduct

The following rules are for the benefit and safety of all users of the ATP facility and must be strictly adhered to.

Any group failing to follow these rules potentially risk having their booking cancelled with immediate effect.

No BOOTS or BLADES moulded or otherwise, are permitted to be worn at any time on the ATP.

Failure of a group not to utilise an ATP session slot, does not preclude that group from its commitment to payment for that session and The Bankfield School shall request its full payment.

The Bankfield School operates a no smoking facility policy across its campus site, including the ATP area.

No glass bottles are permitted on to the ATP. At no time shall any attempt be made to take glass bottles anywhere near the ATP Centre.
