24 Jan 2008 - Coaching Licence - LEVEL 1 and Level 2

Are you interested in becoming a HFH coach?

If "Yes" then please take a read of the following, which should guide you in the right direction.

The RL Coach Education Programme (RLCEP) operate LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 Coaching Courses  across different regions of the country.

In the North West: region, the current nearest location for HFH coaches is the W. M. BEAMONT SPORTS COLLEGE, WARRINGTON.

LEVEL 1 [Cost: £120]

This course is ideal for those inexperienced and new to coaching, particularly volunteers, parents and students who are seeking coaching involvement with young players learning the game through their involvement in the Modified Games programme. Assistant Coach qualification only.

This is a TWO DAY course, usually held on Saturday and Sunday, for which attendance on both days is compulsory.

LEVEL 2 [Cost: £170]

This course is suitable for people with some experience of the game of Rugby League and offers candidates an insight in how to plan, coach and evaluate programmes that cater for committed club level players and teams operating in the domestic playing and/or Service Area structures.

This is a FOUR DAY course, (all four days attendance is again compulsory), and usually held on a Saturday and Sunday across TWO CONSECUTIVE Weekend periods. Depending on circumstances, this may change and stipulated 'spaced out' weekend periods could be selected.

Please Note:

As part of Halton Farnworth Hornets `Clubmark` and `Club Halton` status, managerial control of processes/procedures has become the responsibility of the HFH Management Committee.

Coach development, training and CPD progression is one aspect of this responsibility. This allows detailed and accurate records of each individual coach to be retained.

Anybody considering or wishing to enrolment on either the LEVEL 1or LEVEL 2 courses must, in the first instance, inform a member of the HFH Management Committee to obtain an application form.

All completed forms should be forwarded to the HFH Secretary for processing.

This will establish an immediate and direct responsibility with the HFH Club Management Committee for progressing further, a coaches development. It will also ensure that full, accurate and comprehensive records are maintained by the HFH Club, of all coaches CPD activities, progressions and developments.
