The HFH U14's season came to an end on Bank Holiday Monday, 5th May 2008, at the South Leeds Stadium, when they took on Castleford Lock Lane in the Final of the BARLA National Youth Cup.
In a toughie of an encounter, the HFH U14’s showed the stuff they are made of when they dominated the first half, and continued that success into the second half of the game.
As eventual worthy winners, the HFH U14’s managed to amass a total of twenty eight points, to Castleford Lock Lane’s ten points.
Already winners of the North West Counties Premier League Championship 2007/2008, the HFH U14’s can now claim the title of BARLA National Youth Cup champions.
Without doubt, this has been a brilliant season for the HFH U14’s but none of this would have been achievable had it not been for the dedication of the HFH U14’s coaching/managerial staff.
It’s on occasion like this that we should all remind ourselves that coaches, managers, kitchen staff, etc, etc, are all HFH Club VOLUNTEERS and donate their time on a no fee basis. They are all a vital cog in the mechanics of the HFH Club operations.
Well done HFH U14’s – you’ve all worked hard this season.
